Tracxn is a private-company database with a sector tree, registry financials, and a marketplace where founders post live rounds. The private graph was recounted on 2026-10-09. Their profile count, the registry statements, and Live Deals are still the check.
The row stays now. Operating companies are 123,381, of which 82,476 are private. That filtered count is smaller than their 7 to 9 million headline, which reads like every scraped entity. The company table's 1,416,991 rows are a different cut, full of shells and vehicles, and this page does not use either number as a stand-in for the other. The deal file is the part that moved. Parsed funding is 357,023 deals on 135,173 companies. Form D is 775,619 filings and 365,054 issuers, next to their 1.1 million US and Canada rounds. Those two cuts overlap, so they are not added. Mergers are 175,614 deals, next to their 229,000 acquisitions. Investors are 106,642, above the 79,600 in the August deck and below the 292,000 on the pricing page. Persons are 3,876,749, on 488,960 companies. Live Deals, the taxonomy names, and registry financials at their scale stay theirs.

|---|---|---|---|
| Profiles | The pricing page says 8.4 million companies and 292,000 investors. The homepage says 7.1 million companies, 3,000 feeds, and 901 million domains scanned, with 18,300 additions a day. The Lite page says 9 million companies. The August 2026 investor deck says 8.5 million entities and 79,600 investor profiles. Those pages do not agree. | Recounted 2026-10-09. 123,381 operating companies, of which 82,476 are private and 40,905 are public filers. The company table holds 1,416,991 rows, and that total is not a profile count: about 497,000 are SEC shells, 374,000 are unknown, and 196,000 are vehicles. Their 7 to 9 million reads like every scraped entity. Each cut is stated on its own. | Partial |
| Investors | 292,000 on the pricing page. 79,600 investor profiles in the August 2026 deck. | 106,642 investor profiles, recounted 2026-10-09. That is above the deck and below the pricing page. | Partial |
| Funding rounds | The pricing page says 2 million funding rounds. The Lite page says 2.15 million. The US and Canada page, dated January 1, 2026, says 1.1 million rounds for that geography. | Recounted 2026-10-09. 357,023 parsed funding deals, on 135,173 companies. The filed US slice is 775,619 Form D filings and 365,054 issuers. Those two cuts overlap, so they are not added together. Next to their 1.1 million US and Canada rounds, the filed slice and the parsed deals are the same range. Their global headline is larger. A round that hits a filing, a press hit, or the crawl is on the company id. | Partial |
| Acquisitions | The pricing page says 229,000 acquisitions. The Lite page says 230,000. The US and Canada page says 113,000 for that geography. | 175,614 merger deals and 210,971 companies in at least one, recounted 2026-10-09. 240,859 rows tie a deal to the SEC filing. | Match |
| Taxonomy | About 3,000 feeds and 55,700 business-model nodes. Premium is what unlocks the tree. Sector reports run at about 1,000 a quarter. | A sector label on the crawl is a model. Their node names, and the text of their reports, stay their product. | Partial |
| Legal entities | A January 2025 note says 60 million legal entities. The September 2025 investor deck says about 65 million. India is called out at about 3 million entities, with people, financials, charges, and cases. | The company table is 1,416,991 rows, mostly shells, unknown rows, and vehicles. The operating cut is 123,381. A 65 million global registry is not mirrored. | Partial |

|---|---|---|---|
| Financials | The financials page says 33 million statements across 30 countries. The August 2026 deck says financials on over 7 million companies across 20 countries. The November 2025 deck said 1.6 million companies with revenue and 3.8 million with a detailed statement. The US and Canada page lists 19,600 financials. | Public-company statements are extracted. A private registry statement is a public file and is not in the counted graph at their scale. A figure a company gives only to Tracxn stays theirs. | Partial |
| Cap tables | The cap-table page says 630,000 companies and 100,000 detailed shareholdings across 35 countries. The November 2025 deck said 349,000 detailed shareholdings across 15 countries. The US and Canada page lists 9,600 cap tables. Return multiples sit on the same page. | A shareholding that a registry publishes is a crawl. A cap table that exists only on their page stays theirs. A return multiple is a model on price and cost. | Partial |
| Employee count | Headcount trends for over 130,000 entities. The page does not name the source. | A headcount series from a registry or a job board is a crawl. A feed that has to be licensed is not in this file, and the page does not say which one this is. | Partial |
| Founders and the board | Founder background, board, and key people, including on the legal-entity record. | 3,876,749 persons, and 488,960 companies with at least one registered person edge, recounted 2026-10-09. The edge is every person-to-company link in the graph catalog. A founder who never hits a filing or the crawl is still outside the file. | Ahead |

| Live Deals | A founder, an existing investor, or a bank posts a live round, with a pitch deck. The page says 8,160 deals posted and 7,400 still active, and that 130 companies later raised, totaling over $200 million. Listing is free. Premium is required to browse. | A deal that is posted here and nowhere else is not in the crawl. | Beside |
| MyAnalyst | A user sends a research question to their analysts. The pricing page includes one free query a month. Further queries are billed. | An analyst answering on request is their service. | Beside |

|---|---|---|---|
| Deal CRM and alerts | A pipeline CRM, a portfolio tracker, mobile apps, a browser extension, and a Google Sheet plugin. Alerts follow a company, an investor, or a sector. | The graph is queryable. A CRM for a fund's own pipeline, and a consumer email, are not described. | Gap |
| API and dumps | REST, scheduled CSV or JSON, SFTP, and drops into S3, Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery. A redistribution license is a separate pack, priced on how many companies a customer touches. Lite cannot use the API. | The holdings of this graph are on our API. A dump of their database, under their license, stays theirs. | Partial |
| What a seat costs | Lite is free, with a limit: one report a day and 200 export credits a month. Premium is contact sales. It adds the taxonomy, the CRM, Live Deals, 25 reports a day, and 1,000 export credits a month. No dollar price is on the page. | The disclosed graph is already in house. A seat price for this screen is not set. | Ahead |
