Quiver, contract by contract.

Quiver sells a ticker mapped onto a federal award. The award is a public file. The mapping is the product.

The row stays fast. Government contracts on their site are the USAspending award file mapped to a public ticker. The file is free. We do not have it loaded. Contracts come from the Federal Procurement Data System as File D1. Grants and loans come from FABS as File D2. The company identity comes from SAM.gov as File E. Defense Department and Army Corps actions sit for 90 days before they show up.

Where the row comes from

FeatureQuiverKscope
The file they nameData-sources page, read 2026-10-18: USASpending.gov is the official open data source of federal spending information. Using that API, they track government contracts with publicly traded companies down to a transaction. The government-contracts API page says the feed is data on US government contracts to publicly traded companies. The same API is public. Its last-updated endpoint returned 10/18/2026, and the endpoint list says authorization is not currently required. The award file is not loaded. A search of the notes returned no government-award file. Signed material contracts in the notes are agreements pulled from filings, a different object.Partial
What the API chargesThe API page says plans start at 30 dollars a month. On the pricing page read the same day, government contracts sit on the Hobbyist plan, which has no commercial use. Trader adds insider trading, hedge-fund activity, patents, and app ratings, and still has no commercial use. Commercial use is a separate plan, split between organizations under 1 million dollars of annual revenue and organizations above that. Dollar prices on the Trader and Commercial cards did not come through in the text of that page. A sale banner on the strategy page is not the price. The award file has no seat price. The work they sell is the ticker on top of it, inside a retail bundle.Partial

What a contract row is

FeatureQuiverKscope
The columns on the dashboardThe government-contracts dashboard, read 2026-10-18, has Recipient, Date Awarded, Amount, Funding Agency, and Description. The data-sources page says that table shows new contracts, and the dollar amount is the total dollars obligated from each contract. The same paragraph says the table leaves out payments and modifications to existing contracts. On the public download, one row of Contracts_PrimeTransactions is one prime-award transaction inside a prime-award summary. The row carries the action date, the obligation, the description, the awarding agency, the funding agency, the recipient, the place of performance, the industry code, and the product or service code.Partial
Three wordings of the same feedThe data-sources page says new contracts and total dollars obligated. Contract-update posts say the row came from USASpending.gov, call it a payment, name the parent department and the awarding office, and sum award payments over the last year. A stock page labels the block Federal grants, loans, and purchases, and Estimated quarterly amount awarded. Those three descriptions were all live on 2026-10-18.File D1 is the contract, submitted to the Federal Procurement Data System. File D2 is financial assistance, submitted through FABS: grants, cooperative agreements, loans, and direct payments. A new award, a modification, and a later obligation are all transactions. Keeping contracts and assistance in separate files is the load.Partial
Every award type on the siteThe award-type list, read the same day, splits contracts into a BPA call, a purchase order, a delivery order, and a definitive contract. Indefinite-delivery vehicles cover a government-wide acquisition contract, an indefinite-delivery contract, a federal supply schedule, a basic ordering agreement, and a blanket purchase agreement. Assistance covers block, formula, and project grants, cooperative agreements, direct and guaranteed loans, direct payments, and insurance.Contracts and indefinite-delivery vehicles are one file. Grants, loans, and direct payments are the assistance file. Subawards are their own download. An open solicitation is a SAM.gov contract opportunity, a notice of a buy that has not been obligated yet.Partial

Who the company is

FeatureQuiverKscope
Legal name to tickerTheir contract posts say the code mapped the contract to a ticker. A Raytheon legal name lands on RTX. The recipient column on the dashboard is that ticker.SAM.gov is the authoritative recipient name and code. USAspending extracts it daily as File E, along with executive compensation the recipient entered at registration. The download fields are the recipient name, the parent name, the recipient UEI, and the parent UEI. The parent UEI rolls a subsidiary up to the public parent. The company graph already resolves public names. A name that does not resolve stays unmatched.Partial

How fresh the file is

FeatureQuiverKscope
A civilian awardThe about-the-data download: contract data from the Federal Procurement Data System are generally on USAspending within five days of the award or the modification. Contracting officers have three business days to file the action. The next morning it is available to USAspending, and the site publishes it the day after. The data-sources page walks the same example, a Thursday award that can appear the following Thursday. That clock belongs to the public file. A daily pull of the API, or the monthly delta, is the ingest. The last-updated date on the API was 10/18/2026.Partial
Defense and the Army CorpsProcurement for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is published on a 90-day delay in the Federal Procurement Data System. The about-the-data download says the delay hits File C and File D1, and leaves Files A, B, and D2 alone. The custom-award page states a 90-day delay in displaying contract awards, subcontract data, and File C for the Department of Defense. The delay is in the file. A defense dollar that is public this week was signed about a quarter earlier. Assistance awards are on the faster File D2 clock.Partial
How far back, and how current the bulk copy isCustom award data runs from 10/01/2000, fiscal year 2001, through the present. The award archive posts new full and delta files by the 15th of each month. On the page read 2026-10-18, the all-agencies contract full file and the all-years delta were marked data as of 10/06/2026. The full file was named for fiscal year 2027 because the federal year opened on 2026-10-01. Advanced search on the website starts in fiscal year 2008. The earlier years are on the custom download. The archive is the backfill through 10/06/2026. The delta, then the API, cover the days after that snapshot.Partial

Where we take it

FeatureQuiverKscope
The doorsFour public copies of the same spending. The API, including the bulk-download job the custom-award page uses. The award archive, full year files plus a delta of new, modified, and deleted rows. The custom download, which the site says includes every attribute, including fields the website does not show. A monthly PostgreSQL snapshot of the site database.Take the contract archive as the backfill and the delta as the update. The file is free. It is not in house, so the row stays fast.Partial
Keep the files separateThe analyst guide names Contracts_PrimeTransactions, Contracts_Full, and Contracts_Delta for procurement, and the assistance twins for grants and loans. Subawards are reported by the prime recipient and arrive as their own file. SAM.gov holds the entity registration behind the UEI.Four joins, on the UEI and the parent UEI, onto the company graph. A single government-contracts column would hide a grant inside a purchase order.Partial

Top recipientsTop Gov Contract Recipients, read 2026-10-18, takes the top 20 recipients, weighted by announced contract value, smoothed with an exponential moving average, and rebalanced monthly. The backtest starts 2009-03-01. The page printed a total CAGR of 17.60 percent. That figure is theirs.A rank of public parents by obligated dollars is a query once the file is loaded. The backtest is a model on that file plus a price history.Partial

What the read means

Ahead The feature is data we already hold, in a form an investor can use.

Match Both products do this.

Partial We hold the filing or the extract, and not their finished screen.

Gap They ship it. We do not.

Beside A licensed quote, a scraped app-store score, and a forum index sit beside the award file. The award itself is public.
